About

One of the things I could tell you about myself is that I love to talk about myself. It is the one and only thing that I am truly an expert on. I will spare you the experience and list a few quick telling facts:

• I am the daughter of two pretty incredible lesbian women; one which endowed me with an eye for composition and an overall love of and appreciation for art, the other access to photoshop more than a decade ago resulting in me never, ever leaving it alone for long.
• I collect antique portraits, mostly CDVs and cabinet cards, primarily of children. The weirder they look, the better.
• My favorite part of any shoot, is the point at which the subject sees the results. I truly love nothing more than making someone feel good about themselves, and showing people their own beauty.
• Okay, I lied, I might love Emmy Jackson more. But only a little.
• I shoot with a Nikon D200 or D50.
• Past and present hobbies include but are not limited to graphic design, belly dance, painting, knitting, yoga, reading and club ensemble construction and coordination.
• I love both the shooting and editing processes of digital photography.
• Almost all of my self portraits are crappy camera phone pics, the majority of them taken in club bathrooms.
